JOE & MAXINE SEGGELKE

Joe and Maxine Seggelke of Lincoln will be celebrating their 55th wedding anniversary April 7. They were married at Lincoln Christian Church by Earl C Hargrove. Their attendants were Joe’s brother, Harold Seggelke, and Marilyn Swearingen (Geske), a friend.

They are the parents of Bonnie Klockenga of Dix and Tom, Ed and Mark, all of Lincoln. They have 11 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, with anticipation of a great-grandson in May.

 

 

The Seggelkes have enjoyed being in the ministry, missionaries in Korea and working in the printing ministry at Lincoln Christian College for 27 years. They are currently semi-retired, working for their son Tom at Key Printing.

 


JIM & PAULA STONE

Jim and Paula Stone of Lincoln are observing their 15th wedding annniversary. They were married in Springfield on March 20, 1985. 

They are the parents of three children, Miranda, Danielle and Jimmy.

Jim is employed as an autoworker for Mitsubishi Motor Manufacturing of America in Normal. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1972 to 1976 and graduated from Southern Illinois University in 1980.

Paula is a homemaker and is employed at Papa John's in Lincoln. She graduated from Riverton High School in 1978.

JACOB EUGENE MILEHAM, son of Samantha and Jamie Mileham of Mount Pulaski, was born Wednesday, March 22, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed 6 pounds, 14 ounces. He is a brother to Samuel, 2½. Jacob’s maternal grandparents are Sam and Debra McMahan of Nashville, Tenn. His paternal grandparents are Dean and Bunnie Mileham of Elkhart. Great-grandparents are Mary Jo and Buddy McMahan of Portland, Tenn., and Marie Orr of Nashville, Tenn.


ZACKARIE MATTHEW CHARLES SCHANZE, son of Amanda K. and Andrew F. Schanze of Middletown, was born Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed 6 pounds, 13 ounces. He is a brother to Samantha, 3, Alexander, 4, Matthew, 11, and Ashley, 5. His maternal grandparents are Shirley V. Schmidt of Middletown and Len Karbowski of West Chicago. Paternal grandparents are Edward and Lonamarie Schanze of Palatine. Zack’s middle names are for his brother and his grandfather.


MIRANDA JO STRAUCH, daughter of Mindy and Mark Strauch of Emden, was born Tuesday, March 21, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 8 pounds, 11 ounces and was 18½ inches long. Miranda is a sister to Felicia, 8, Kayla, 5, and Dallas, 1½. Her maternal grandparents are Dana and Keith Johnston of East Peoria and Suzie and Harry Benson of Bartonville. Paternal grandparents are Martha Wallace or Peoria and Walter Strauch of Peoria. Great-grandparents are Barb and Melvin Demmin and Lena and Art Benson, all of Bartonville.


BRITTNEY KAYE McCULLOUGH, daughter of Lori and Mark McCullough of Mason City, was born Monday, March 20, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 6 pounds, 1 ounce. Her maternal grandparents are Charlie Hagan of Peoria and Sandy Hagan of Mason City. Paternal grandparents are Sharon McCullough of Lincoln and Gerald and Sherry McCullough of Chandlerville. Great-grandparents are Leonard and Pauline Elrod and Hank and Henrietta Aldag. Brittney was born the same day as her cousin Ashlan Broom at the same hospital.


ASHLAN RACHEL BROOM, daughter of Rhonda J. and V. Scott Broom of Lincoln, was born Monday, March 20, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 7 pounds, 14 ounces. She is a sister to Justin Vail Broom, 3½. Maternal grandparents are Sharon McCullough of Lincoln and Gerald McCullough of Chandlerville. Madonna Broom of Rantoul is Ashlan’s paternal grandparent. Great-grandparents are Hank and Henrietta Aldag of Chatham.


BYRON EUGENE HELTON III, son of Felicia Jo Boling and Byron Eugene Helton Jr. of Lincoln, was born Sunday, March 19, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed 7 pounds, 13 ounces. Byron’s maternal grandparents are Don and Sheila Wichmann of Lincoln and Byron Sr. and Doris Helton of Atlanta. Great-grandparents are Chester and Judy Miller, Garth and Shelby Helton, Robert and Betty Jackson and Don and Joyce Wichmann.


DESTINY NICOLE PRUITT, daughter of Jennifer and Joseph Andrew Pruitt of Mason City, was born Friday, March 17, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 8 pounds, 12 ounces and measured 21 inches. She is a sister of Desirae, 2. Destiny’s maternal grandparents are Lynette and Manuel Rivera of Mason City and Dennis Rombout of Sterling. Paternal grandparents are Lorri and Reg Smith of Mason City. Destiny’s great-grandparents are Dale and Mary Jane Janssen, Betty Loznik,
La Vern and Sue Battles and Larry Rombout.


JORDAN RODNEY JAMES MALERICH, son of Sarah Elizabeth Vincent and Christopher Robin Peasley (Malerich) of Lincoln, was born Wednesday, March 15, 2000, at ALMH. He weighed 6 pounds, 7 ounces. Jordan’s maternal grandparents are Al and Gladys Eckhoff and W. Tom and Kathie Vincent, all of Lincoln. His paternal grandparents are Vicki Newingham and Rod Malerich of Lincoln. Great-grandparents are Betty and Conrad Carnduff, James Malerich, Beatrice Harrell, Earline Vincent and James Stacey. Jordan’s middle names come from the names of his paternal grandfather and great-grandfather.

REDDING-ROHLFS

Caroline Elizabeth Redding and Nathan John Rohlfs have announced their engagement. They plan a May 20 wedding at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hartsburg.

Caroline, daughter of Sam and Jane Redding of 326 Lincoln Ave., is a 1997 graduate of Lincoln Community High School. She is studying elementary education at Illinois State University in Normal and is scheduled to receive her bachelor of arts degree in December.

Nathan, son of Les and Cathy Rohlfs of Emden, is a 1995 graduate of Hartsburg-Emden High School. He received an associate degree in applied science from Illinois Central College in Peoria in 1997 and is employed at Rohlfs Implement in Hartsburg.
