JAMES ANDREW GOLDEN graduated from Navy Basic Training July 14. He will continue his training at Great Lakes Naval Training Center. Andrew was a member of the 933rd Division, which took top honors out of the seven graduating divisions. Andrew attended LCHS and graduated from Excelsior Springs Technical High School, Excelsior Springs, Mo., on April 27. He is the son of James and Jennie Golden of Lincoln and the grandson of Peggy Golden of Lincoln.

PAYTON LAINE-MARGARET SHREVE, daughter of Amy L. and Daniel E. Shreve of Lincoln, was born at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital on Friday, July 21, 2000. She weighed 8 pounds. She is a sister to Steven Workman, 16, Nathan Workman, 13, Elijah Shreve, 14, Nathaniel Shreve, 12, and Jennifer Shreve, 11. Maternal grandparents are the late Elberta Moore, the late Dean Cryer, and James Moore of Lincoln. Paternal grandparents are Clyde and Virginia Shreve of Lincoln. Margaret Sutton of Lincoln is great-grandmother. The baby’s middle name Laine is a variation of her Aunt Brenda’s and cousin Ciara’s middle names, and Margaret is after her great-grandmother.


NICOLE MARIE FLINT, daughter of Tina and Kenneth Flint of Mason City, was born Thursday, July 20, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 5 pounds, 11 ounces. She is a sister to Derek, 6. Maternal grandparents are Sidney and Frieda Mason of Peoria. Paternal grandmother is Carol Harris of Pekin. The baby was born on her Uncle David’s birthday.


ABBEY LEE ALLEN, daughter of Elizabeth and Derrick Allen of Lincoln was born Tuesday, July 18, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 8 pounds. She is a sister to Laney Allen, 1. Her maternal grandparents are Jackie and Dallas Stanley of Heavener, Okla. Paternal grandparents are Becky Homer and Teddy and Debbie Allen, all of Lincoln. Great-grandparents are Raymond and Irene Burger, Calvin Allen and Montzila Bryeans.


ANTHONY WRAGE BAKER, son of Amber D. Senters and Stephen P. Baker of Lincoln, was born at ALMH on Thursday, July 13, 2000. He weighed 6 pounds, 10 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Dan and Kathy Senters of Heyworth and Bev Naugle and Donnie Hilscher of Lincoln. Paternal grandparents are Steve and Linda Baker of Lincoln. Great-grandparents are Sue Lynch, June Atteberry and Laura Baker. The baby was born on his Aunt Tiff’s birthday, and his middle name is from his great-grandfather, the late Paul Wrage Baker.


SKYLAR DEAN HASHMAN, son of Misty D. and Joseph A. Hashman of Lincoln, was born at ALMH on Thursday, July 13, 2000. He weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces. Maternal grandparents are LaDonna Shull of New Holland and Bill and Debbie Hilgendorf of Broadwell. Paternal grandparents are Mary Hashman of Springfield and James A. Hashman Sr. of Chestnut. Great-grandparents are Ronnie and Sharon Shull, Millie and Eugene Blake, and Marie Skeleton. Jessie Shull is great-great-grandmother. The baby’s middle name is from his uncle Dean on his father’s side and from his great-grandfather Ronnie.


MADYSON MARIAH TURLEY, daughter of Tina G. and Randall D. Turley of Lincoln, was born Thursday, June 29, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 8 pounds, 5 ounces. She is a sister to Adam, 14, Chase, 12, and Spencer, 2. Grandparents are Nola and Harrison Turley of Lincoln and Dorothy and George Harris of Clinton. Madyson’s middle name, Mariah, is from her great-great-grandmother.


CHEYANNE MARIE HACKWITH-WORK, daughter of Heather Marie Hackwith and Joshua Shane Work of Lincoln, was born Thursday, June 29, 2000, at ALMH. She weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces. Maternal grandparents are Sharon Ann Brown and Bill Brown of Lincoln. Paternal grandparents are Jane and Mark Work of Lincoln. Grandma Sharon Brown named the baby.
