Carroll Catholic advances to
state championship match

[DEC. 21, 2000]  Carroll Catholic junior high girls basketball team continues steamrolling their way to an 8A state title. Carroll Catholic girls fought hard against Warsaw at Jacksonville, winning by two points in overtime. Their 53-51 win makes them the top-seeded team and allowed them to maintain their perfect season record (23-0).

Teams compete tonight for positions as follows:

For third place: Ransom (21-1) vs. Warsaw (23-2) at 6 p.m.

For championship and second place: Lincoln Carroll Catholic (23-0) vs. Carrolton (23-2) at 7:15 p.m.
