DEVON LEE ANDERECK, daughter of Laura and Larry Andereck of San Jose, was born Monday, Feb. 7, 2000. She weighed 7 lb. 7 oz. She is a sister to Michele, 8. Maternal grandparents are Bill and Nancy Hayden of San Jose. Bill and Pat Andereck of East Peoria are paternal grandparents. Great-grandparents are Phyllis Hofmann and Eldora Merritt. Devon shares her middle name with her father's uncle.


KASANDRA LYNN ESKEW, daughter of Kimberly L. and William R. Eskew of Hartsburg, was born Monday, Feb. 7, 2000. Her siblings are Billy Eskew, 10, Kristyn Taylor, 7,  and Devon Taylor, 5. Kasandra's maternal grandparents are Sandra Wilcox of Hartsburg and Cliff and Donna Wilcox of Chillicothe. Paternal grandparents are Verl and Kathy Prather of Lincoln and Bill and Nancy Eskew of Cornland. George and Florence Lolling, Eva Davis and Bill and Norma Eskew are great-grandparents.


JOSHUA DANIEL MOTTA, son of Cherilynn and Kenneth Motta of Lincoln, was born Saturday,  Jan. 29, 2000, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 lbs. 6 ozs. Joshua is a brother to Timothy, 15, Thain, 13, Jayme, 12, Joseph, 4, Dominic, 3,  and Zachariah, 20 months. His maternal grandparents are William and Carole Purciarello of Orland Hills. Jean Motta of Rensselaer, Ind., is his paternal grandmother. Angeline Nugent of Chicago Ridge is his great-grandmother.

DOMKUSKI
, daughter of Doug and Becky Domkuski of Towanda, was born Thursday, Jan. 20, 2000. She weighed 6 lbs. 12 ozs. She is a sister to Andrew Douglas (Drew) Domkuski and Alison (Ali) Jean Domkuski. Her maternal grandparents are Sam and Jane Redding of Lincoln. Her paternal grandparents are Ron and Nancy Domkuski of Spring Valley. Her great-grandparents are Roy Lee and Margie Redding of Towanda and Victor and Betty Bittner of rural Bloomington. Alaina Beth was named for her aunt, Caroline Elizabeth Redding, and in memory of her great-great-aunt, Beth Allen.

JAMES-KNOLLENBERG

Leann Michelle James, daughter of Leroy and Vera James of Emden, and Todd Michael Knollenberg, son of John and Janice Knollenberg of Lincoln, exchanged rings and vows Saturday, September 11, 1999.

The ceremony was performed at 5 p.m. at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Emden with the Rev. Darby Lawrence presiding. The father of the bride gave her away in marriage.

Sandra Born was the maid of honor, accompanied by bridesmaids Lori Watson and Lisa Dierker, sisters of the bride. Karen Rohlfs, sister of the groom, Laura Winkleman, Katie Totel and Jamie Richter were also in attendance. A niece of the bride, Kristen Dierker, was the special attendant. Holly Knollenberg, sister-in-law of the bridegroom, was the personal attendant. Kayla Dierker and Chelsea Knollenberg were flower girls.

Darren Seaman served as Todd’s best man. The groomsmen included Troy Knollenberg, brother of the bridegroom, Eric Leever, Aaron Klockenga, Chris Bridges, Brian Hill and Ryan Albritton, cousin of the bridegroom.

Seating the guests were Richard Dierker and Thomas Watson, brothers-in-law of the bride, Rodney Maddock, uncle of the groom, and Michael Rohlfs, brother-in-law of the groom. The nephew of the bride, Tommy Watson, served as ringbearer.

Following a dinner and dance reception at the Knights of Columbus Hall, the newlyweds honeymooned in Negril, Jamaica.

The couple now resides in Lincoln.

Todd graduated from Lincoln Community High school, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in aviation from St. Louis University. He is currently employed at MII in Jacksonville, Illinois, as well as being the co-owner of J&R Nursery and Landscape company here in Lincoln.

Leann is a graduate of Hartsburg-Emden High School, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing from Illinois Wesleyan in Bloomington. She is employed as a registered nurse at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

 

 


 

 

ANNIVERSARIES


The family of MR. AND MRS. FLOYD PAYNE of 1500 Tremont Park hosted a luncheon at Jumer’s Chateau in Bloomingon in honor of their 50th wedding anniversary.

Jo Anne Teaney and Floyd Payne were married February 4, 1950, at Hartsburg Christian Church, with the Rev. Clifford Iubelt officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. Payne are the parents of Roger Payne of Normal; Kerry and Reggie Payne, and Robyn Redfairn, all of Lincoln. They have nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The Paynes are retired, Floyd from Pittsburg Plate Glass and Jo Anne after 28 years as a self-employed day care worker.
