Lincoln Daily News wants to be a constructive player in making Logan County the best possible place to live.  We encourage readers to submit to us specific complaints, concerns, and problems.  Our Ombudsman will contact the government agency or business that might be responsible for addressing the problem. We will publish the response we get from the responsible party. Lincoln Daily News will always approach this undertaking in a positive manner, seeking only to make things better.  bud@lincolndailynews.com

LDN Ombudsman To
"Make Our Community Even Better"

[FEB. 8, 2000]   The Lincoln Daily News wants to do its part to make our community—Logan County—even better than it already is. The recent survey by the Capstone committee in Lincoln shows that residents are pretty happy with most of life in their fair city. But they point to a few problems—animal control, street maintenance, sewers, and sidewalks for example.

LDN knows that Logan County folks are not complainers; they are problem solvers. In that spirit, LDN has launched a new page, LDN Ombudsman, where readers may tell us about specific problems in Logan County. LDN will publish the reported problem, and will also seek a response from the responsible government agency, business, or individual.

So if your sidewalk needs repair, tell us the location. If your sewer flows up instead of down, let us know where you live. If dogs run loose on your street, we’ll check with animal control to see why. Whatever problems you see with public services, send us an e-mail and we will see if we can get an answer, and maybe a solution.
