Alma Liesman

Alma K. Liesman, 96, of Lincoln died at 1:05 p.m. Thursday, July 27, 2000, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 31, at Holy Family Church in Lincoln with the Rev. Edward Higgins officiating.

Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, July 30, at Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln with the rosary recited at 4 p.m. and the wake service at 6:45 p.m.

Mrs. Liesman worked at the former Lincoln Garment Factory for many years and retired in 1969. She was employed at the munition plant in Illiopolis during World War II.

She was born Jan. 8, 1904, in Lincoln. Her parents were Matt and Mary (Awe) Minder. She married Raymond Liesman in Lincoln in 1936. He died March 24, 1999.

Surviving are one son, Gene Liesman of St. Charles; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother, Orville Minder of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.

She was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to her church.
