Conrad Ruff

Conrad B. Ruff, 94, formerly of Lincoln, died on March 2, 2000, at Apple Valley Care Center in Apple Valley, Calif..

The funeral service will be at Zion Lutheran Church, Lincoln, on Wednesday, March 8, at 10:30 a.m.  The Rev. William Adam will officiate.

Burial will be at Zion Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Ruff retired in 1970 as a security officer for Eaton Corporation in Lincoln.

He was born to Gustav and Matilda (Diekow) Ruff in Logan County on July 12, 1905.  He married Mildred L. Rohlfs in Lincoln Feb. 23, 1938.  She died Oct. 18, 1993.

Ruff is survived by a son, Thomas W. Ruff of Phelan, Calif.; a sister, Montella McClure of Lincoln; and two grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, two sisters, and his wife.

He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 

 

 

 

Elmer Ramlow

Elmer C. Ramlow, 78, of Lincoln died at 12:17 a.m. Tuesday, March 7, 2000, at Maple Ridge Care Centre in Lincoln.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, March 9, at Holland & Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Craig Smith officiating.

Burial with military rites will be at Harmony Cemetery, Beason.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Ramlow retired from GTE in 1984.

He was born Oct. 17, 1921, in Lincoln, a son of August and Matilda M. (Moldenhauer) Ramlow. He married Maxine L. Fulk June 22, 1946, at St. Louis, Mo. She survives.

Also surviving are one son, Dennis R. (and Rhonda) Ramlow of Lincoln; two grandchildren, Jason and Justin Ramlow of Lincoln; and one sister, Louise Schmidt of Mason City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Theodore, Raymond and Paul Ramlow; and one sister, Marie Gaydosh.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #263 in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
