Henrietta Wibben

Henrietta A. Wibben, 86, of Hartsburg died at 3:46 a.m. Thursday, March 9, 2000, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 11, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hartsburg, with the Rev. Darby Lawrence officiating.

Burial will be at Hartsburg Union Cemetery, Hartsburg.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Holland & Barry Funeral Home, Lincoln, and one hour before the service Saturday at the church in Hartsburg.

Mrs. Wibben was a homemaker and a former cook for the Hartsburg schools.

She was born April 2, 1913, in Prairie Creek Township, Logan County. Her parents were Harry and Matilda (Miller) Koester. She married George J. Wibben June 30, 1934, at Hartsburg. He died July 2, 1972.

Surviving are two daughters, Marietta Paulsen and Doris (and William) Hanna, all of Emden; one son, William (and Grace) Wibben of Hartsburg; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred "Fritz" Koester of Lincoln and Harold Koester of New Holland; and two sisters, Mildred Johnson and Louise Wolpert, both of Lincoln.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, John Wibben; one son-in-law, Kenneth Paulsen; and two sisters, Dora Marten and Irene Leinbach.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Hartsburg and of the church’s Ladies Aid Society, where she enjoyed quilting.

Memorials may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church in Hartsburg or to the Ladies Aid Society of the church.
