Disappointed to see that school is to be torn down

3-16-00

To the editor:

Hello. I am now a resident of Bremerton, Wash., and this is the way I stay in touch with Lincoln. When I saw the story about tearing down Central School and the junior high I was taken back. My grandfather, father and I all attended school there and I was disappointed that rather than renovate it, it is going to be torn down. I think it should be saved as a historic building just because of the deep roots that it has in Lincoln. I am sure that over half of Lincoln's families are in the same state of mind that I am in about the history of both buildings. Thank you for your time

The first thing I do when I get home from work is click on to LincolnDailyNews, and I was pleased today to read that all you need do is go to the bottom of the page and click on to your choice of the next article. What a great idea. This news media is such a neat idea from the word go, and I wish you continued success in your reporting and your positive viewpoint.
