  • 5/28, 12:20 p.m.; male, 45, St. James Court; possession of cannabis less than 2.5g, resisting arrest, obstructing justice; arrested at Madigan State Park boat ramp (yesterday’s report stated that the man was arrested at Madison State Park)

Criminal damage to property over $300

  • 5/30, 8:30 a.m.; sometime overnight rocks were used to break three of the front windows of a business at 103 Oglesby Ave., Elkhart; an expensive picture was also damaged by a rock; rocks used appeared to be from the railroad; a party during the night behind the business is suspected as the origin of the vandalism

Criminal damage to vehicle

  • 5/30, 7:30 a.m.; about 2:30 a.m. on 5/30, a 1994 Ford Mustang in Broadwell was damaged by unknown persons; vehicle was hit with bricks; similar damage was done elsewhere in the area around the same time
  • 5/30, 10 a.m.; unknown persons threw a rock through the driver's side window of a 1987 Dodge Omni in Elkhart

  • 5/28, 12:54 a.m.; four tires on a red 1998 Ford Ranger were slit while the vehicle was parked at 1005 13th St. between 9:40 p.m. on 5/27 and 12:30 a.m. on 5/28

Criminal damage to property under $300

  • 5/30, 6:42 a.m.; the glass covers on two outdoor lights located at 303 Broadway St. were broken

  • 5/28, 1 p.m.; two packages of cigarettes were taken from and the windshield was broken in the upper left-hand corner on a red 1998 Dodge Neon
