"With all the warnings as to the health risks of smoking tobacco products, why do young people still smoke?"

Teens start smoking because itís cool, and then they get addicted to the nicotine.

[Jenna Behle, freshman]

Teens try it once to see what it is like and then they can get addicted. Some of the advertisements make it look cool and also other kids are smoking.

Itís cool. Advertisements make it look like nothing will happen to you if you do smoke.

People look at billboards and magazine articles and think smoking would be cool. They see friends smoking and start to fit in.
