Viola Kiliman

Viola Mae Kiliman, 79, of Lincoln died at 7:15 a.m. Sunday, March 18, 2001, at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Lincoln.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 22, at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the Rev. Donald Schlough officiating.

Burial will be in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln.

Visitation will be one hour before the service at the funeral home.

She owned a restaurant in Lincoln, a beauty shop in Springfield, farmed at Beason and was a doll-maker and songwriter.

She was born Aug. 23, 1921, in Lincoln to Jesse M. and Ethel M. Ackerson Henson.

Her survivors include two children, Jesse F. Henson of Phoenix, Ariz., and Danny L. Henson of Baltimore, Md.; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Marion Henson of Riverside, Calif., and Jesse C. Henson of Wisconsin.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence and Charles Henson.

She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God, Eagles, Order of Zoyr, Ladies Auxiliary and the American Poet Society.

Memorials may be made to the Diabetes Society.

Luther ‘Bub’ Ryals Jr.

Graveside memorial services for Luther "Bub" Ryals Jr. will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 24, 2001, at Zion Cemetery, Lincoln, with J.K. Jones officiating.

Ryals, 45, of Lincoln died at 3:29 a.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2001, at his home.

He was cremated. There is no visitation. Kerrigan Funeral Home in Lincoln is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his family.
