OVER THE NOON HOUR (CDT)

This morning was the grand opening celebration for A. Lincoln General Store and Bakery, located at 127 S. Sangamon St.  Members of the Lincoln/Logan Chamber of Commerce gathered for a ribbon-cutting ceremony with new business owner Cookie Wentworth.

Wentworth actually opened her business on May 1.  She offers fresh-baked pastries and breads, ice cream and beverages, candy and peanuts, a museum, antique reproductions, and more.  Besides sweet refreshments, Wentworth sells potpourri, knickknacks, glasses, bandanas and numerous other sundries.  A. Lincoln General Store and Bakery also houses Lincoln’s famous ball of string.
