Dr. and Mrs. W. E. Franke. She will celebrate her 100th birthday
with her daughters, Roseanne Judd from Rochester, NY, and Kathleen
McCullough in Lincoln where she presently lives. The family

Anna
enjoys attending mass at Holy Family Church, taking care of her
potted flowers on the front porch, and watching Sammy Sosa and the
Chicago Cubs on TV. She writes letters to her relatives and Newton
friends almost every day and receives many letters in return. After
her children married and left Newton, she wrote local news part-time
for The Mentor-Democrat and the Newton Press. The staff at the
newspaper celebrated her last day of work with a birthday party and
cake on her 80th birthday when she retired.
