Allien Hatfield

Allien Hatfield, 99, of Easton died at 4:35 a.m. Friday, Feb. 1, 2002, at Mason District Hospital in Havana.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 3, at Hurley Funeral Home in Mason City.

Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mason City Cemetery.

Mrs. Hatfield was a dishwasher at the Easton Cafe for many years.

She was born July 6, 1902, in rural Mason County to Lee and Mary Marcum Close. She married William Wade Hatfield on Aug. 31, 1921, in Magnolia, Ky. He died in 1965.

Surviving are one son, Larry Hatfield of Easton; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Edna Seward of Mason City.

She was also preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers.

She was a member of Easton Baptist Church.
