What a gorgeous Sunday afternoon, but not for everyone. Hidden away from the sunshine and warm air, in the depths of the safety complex at 911 Pekin St., packed into two big rooms and several small rooms, people rapidly spoke into radios, wrote notes and delivered messages for four intense hours. They were practicing communications with each other during a mock disaster senario.  Emergency responders, health providers, community leaders, utility providers and private agencies gathered for the annual disaster emergency exercise.
Aren't we glad they'll know what to do when something happens.
