Lois Ruble

Lois Ruth Ruble, 68, of Waynesville, died Thursday (July 17, 2003) at 9:25 p.m. at her home.

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Evergreen Cemetery, Waynesville. The Rev. Al Simonson will officiate.

Quiram Funeral Home in Atlanta handled arrangements.

Mrs. Ruble was a homemaker for her family.

She was born April 18, 1935, at Atlanta to Howard and Elsie Fickle Hamblen. She married Bobby Lee Ruble on March 31, 1956, in Atlanta. He died Sept. 7, 2002.

Surviving are three daughters, Kimberly (and Ronald) Holt of Waynesville, Teresa (and Hugh) Evans of Stanford and Sherry James of Waynesville, and four grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Community Cancer Center, 407 E. Vernon, Normal, IL 61761.

Bertha Baldin

Bertha Baldin, 89, of Lincoln died Saturday (July 19, 2003) at 12:32 a.m. at the Christian Village in Lincoln.

Her funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Kerrigan-Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln, with Father Thomas Taylor officiating. Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. until the service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lincoln.

Mrs. Baldin was retired from Lehn and Fink in Lincoln.

She was born March 28, 1914, in Lincoln to Alois and Marie Schmitmeyer Pangerl. She married John Baldin on Oct. 25, 1935, in Lincoln. He died in 1975.

She is survived by two brothers, Frank Pangerl of Lincoln and Henry Pangerl of Yuma, Ariz., and four sisters, Rose Pangerl of Lincoln, Mary Welereiter of Springfield, Ohio, Ann Pangerl of Dayton, Ohio, and Elizabeth Pangerl of Rockford.

She was also preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

She was a member of Holy Family Church in Lincoln.

Memorials may be made to Carroll Catholic School in Lincoln.
