Melonie Hurley
Melonie Carole Hurley, 42, of Fort
Wayne, Ind., formerly of Lincoln, died Saturday (April 3, 2004) at
3:22 a.m. after a lengthy illness.
A memorial service was on Monday at The Chapel in Fort Wayne, Ind., with Pastor Joe
Martin officiating.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m.
Wednesday in New Union Cemetery, Lincoln, with Marion Henderson
officiating.
Peasley Funeral Home in Lincoln is in
charge of arrangements.
She was employed as a legal secretary
with Baker & Daniels law firm in Fort Wayne, Ind., until her
illness.
She was born Sept. 8, 1961, in Quincy.
She had been married and is survived by
two children, Evan Wilson, a high school junior, of Belleview, Iowa,
and Erin Wilson, a Homestead High School sophomore in Fort Wayne;
her parents, Richard and Carole Hurley of Lincoln; brothers Lyndel
(and Kathy) Hurley of Athens, Ga., Todd (and Fabiana) Hurley of
Miami Beach, Fla., and Lloyd (and Pam) Hurley of Seminole, Fla.;
numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends in Lincoln and
Fort Wayne.
She was a member of Lincoln Christian
Church and attended The Chapel in Fort Wayne, Ind.
She attended Madison Grade School in
Quincy, Emden Grade School, Central School in Lincoln and Lincoln
Junior High School. She participated in junior high track and was a
member of the record-setting state 440 relay team in 1975, along
with Debbie Miller, Stacy Cook and Val Simpson.
She was a member of the volleyball team
in high school, and she graduated from Lincoln Community High School
in 1979.
She received her paralegal certificate
from Bradley University in Peoria and her bachelor's degree from
Indiana Wesleyan University in Fort Wayne, Ind.

Sandra Russell
Sandra J. Russell, 50, of Beason died
Monday (April 5, 2004) at 5 a.m. at her home.
A graveside service will be at 10:30
a.m. Wednesday at Lake Bank Cemetery, rural Mount Pulaski.
There is no visitation.
Mrs. Russell worked at Bartmann's
Nursing Home as a licensed practical nurse.
She was born Dec. 27, 1953, at Lincoln
to Virgil J. and Venona Lorine Gaston Letterle. She married Robert
E. "Bob" Russell on Nov. 2, 1973, in Lincoln.
She is survived by her husband, of
Beason; her mother, of Lincoln; three brothers, Robert, Randy and
Rick Letterle, all of Lincoln; and one sister, Sarah Jett of Quail,
Texas.
She was preceded in death by her
father.
She was a member of Cornland Christian
Church.
