The Whole Health 5K Run/Walk on
April 30 kicks off National Physical Fitness and Sports Month

[APRIL 20, 2004]  Lincoln Christian College and Seminary will host The Whole Health 5K Run/Walk on April 30 at 3 p.m., kicking off National Physical Fitness and Sports Month. The event is open to the public, and the college welcomes the community to come encourage and support one another while promoting physical fitness and being active in life.

The event is for everyone, from beginning walkers to advanced runners. Awards will be given, there will be door prizes, and all participants will receive a T-shirt. A cookout at the college will follow the event.

The event is sponsored by Coca-Cola, Springfield Runners Club, Health Alliance, Runners World, The Running Center, Lincoln Kroger, Lincoln IGA, National Health and Fitness Organization, Lincoln Subway, First Wok, Lincoln Pizza Hut, The Finish Line, Lincoln Wal-Mart and Lincoln Jimmy Johns.

If you would like to participate, the cost is $10, and proceeds will go toward the new LCC cross country team.
