Characters won the women's softball tournament
hosted at Lincoln Park District. The champs didn't take the trophy
easily, because Bud Light dealt them a loss in the first game
Thursday night. Rallying in the second game, Character's Pub gave
Bud Light its second loss in the tournament.

Bud Light,
winner of the season championship, had lost to Characters during the
regular season, so the evening had promised good competition. Since
it was a double-elimination tourney and Bud Light had battled
through the losers brackets, the team would have had to win two
games in order to take the tournament trophy.
