The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Bingo
Bingo, sponsored by the Extension
service, starts at 1 p.m. Thursday. Come for games, nutritious
prizes, snacks and a good time.
Alzheimer
support group
No reservation is necessary to join the
group at 1 p.m. Thursday for Alzheimer’s disease information and
support.
Tuesday
lunch
Pick up your $3.50 ticket by noon
Monday, Aug. 23, for the Tuesday lunch of lemon pepper chicken,
rosemary potatoes, corn, dessert and drink. Lunch is only $3 if you
stay and play pinochle or table games.
Veterans
A VA representative will be on-site
Tuesday, Aug. 24, from 9 to 11:45 a.m. to assist veterans.

Think
tank
The speaker for the month will be Greg
Curran, from the secretary of state’s office, addressing the topic
"Road Rage." Join us at 9:15 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25. No reservation
is necessary.

class
The Memories class for Aug. 27 is canceled.

were weekday pinochle winners. Helen Opperman won on the weekend.
