Five of the nine golfers are
sophomores, including three top players returning from last season.
Heading the list of returnees is Jason Fitzpatrick, from Lincoln
High School. John Donovan, from Aurora West, and Zack Young, from
Midwest Central, are the other top returnees.
Two freshmen and a sophomore join this
talented trio to give the Lynx a strong cast of players. Jake
Littrel, Cambridge; Matt Riva, Olive Branch, Miss.; and Gardner
Fuller, Aurora West, are all top recruits. Littrel and Riva are both
state champions in high school, Riva being a sophomore.

"These six players are the best I have
had since being named the Lincoln College golf coach," McCullum
said. "We have several other players who are not far behind. We
should be very solid, and this team has the capabilities of
qualifying for nationals. In the past we have had one or two good
individuals and we probably played more for individual honors. This
group will be playing more as a team, as they won't want to let
their teammates down with a bad score."
Others on the Lincoln College squad
include Brad Nelson, Knoxville freshman; Marty Logue, Argenta
freshman; and Andrews Thompson, a freshman.
