Men
GALESBURG -- Lincoln College (8-1) returned to its winning ways by
downing Carl Sandburg 77-54 in men's basketball action here
Wednesday night. The Lynx shot over 50 percent (34-64) from the
floor, including 6-of-19 from 3-point land.
The Lynx also dominated on the
boards as Jake Littrel pulled down eight and Aaron Williams and
Brandon Alexander each pulled down seven of the 45 total for the
team. Jason Moore led the Lynx with five assists and Aaron Williams
led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points. Moore added 10 points,
while Steven Nelson added nine, Alexander had eight, and Brad Howell
had seven.
Pierce led Carl Sandburg with 12
points as the host connected on 18 of 50 field goals and 12 of 20 at
the foul line.

Women
GALESBURG -- Carl Sandburg handed the
Lincoln College Lady Lynx a 56-43 setback in basketball action here
Wednesday night. LC, now 4-4, plays at home Friday at 7:30 p.m.
against Sauk Valley.
Carl Sandburg outscored the Lynx by
only two field goals but won the game at the foul line, as they
connected on 18 of 30 attempts, while Lincoln College was limited to
10 of 20. Swick, of Carl Sandburg, connected on 11 of 17 foul shots
and added six field goals to take game scoring honors with 23
points. Camill joined her teammate in double figures with 12.
Jessica Hamman led Lincoln College
with 16 points and was joined in double figures by Carmen Weaver
with 10. All but two of Hamman's points were scored in the second
half as Lincoln College was limited to 11 points in the first 20
minutes of play. Carl Sandburg led by a 24-11 margin at the half.
