[DEC. 4, 2004]  Sauk Valley broke from a 49-49 tie in the final 10 minutes to down Lincoln College 61-54 in women's college basketball action at Lincoln Friday night. The loss drops the Lynx to 4-5 for the season, and they will play Harper at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Tiffany Tungate led the Lincoln College attack with 14 points, closely followed by Jessica Hamman with 13. They were the only two Lynx to reach double figures. Three players from Sauk Valley were in double figures, led by Fane with 18.

Lincoln College led 33-29 at halftime before the visitors were able to even the score in the first 10 minutes of the second half. Lincoln was able to score just one basket in the final 10 minutes of play while Sauk Valley was netting 12.

Lincoln College (54) -- Leach 2-1-5; White 3-2-9; Ingram 2-1-6; Weaver 2-0-4; Tungate 4-3-14; Gore 1-0-2; Hamman 4-5-13; Rucks 0-1-1. Totals 18-13-54. Three-point goals: White, Ingram, Tungate 3.

Sauk Valley (61) -- Wirth 1-0-2; McCormick 5-2-12; Salas 2-3-9; Bohms 4-5-13; Fane 7-3-18; Fleetwood 1-5-7. Totals 20-18-61. Three-point goals: Salas 2, Fane.
