BEASON -- Helen M. Payne, 88,
of rural Beason, died at noon Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004, at Maple
Ridge Care Center in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m.
Tuesday at Quiram Funeral Home, Atlanta. The Rev. Nadine
Preston will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to
the service.
Burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Waynesville.
Mrs. Payne was a homemaker.
She was born Aug. 30, 1916, at
Clinton to John and Belle Irvin Roulston. She married Adrian
G. "Bill" Payne on Dec. 3, 1938, in Lincoln. They had been
married 56 years when he died July 4, 1995.
She is survived by one son,
Don (and Jo Anne) Payne of Waynesville; one granddaughter, Amy
(and Scott) Neece of Lincoln; and two great-grandchildren, Wes
and Abby Neece.
She was a member of the
Waynesville United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women
and a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
A wonderful, dear, sweet lady
has passed.
