Fibromyalgia Comfort Group meeting at ALMH

The Fibromyalgia Comfort
Group formed in November at Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital will
have its second meeting at noon Wednesday, Dec. 8, in the ALMH basement,
Conference Room A. Attendees may bring lunch or come a few minutes
early and buy lunch in the hospital cafeteria.

ALMH registered dietician Jennifer
DiPasquale will attend this meeting to answer nutrition and diet
questions. Other topics of interest have been identified by the
group members, and speakers will be scheduled for many of the future
meetings as well. The group
plans to continue meeting on the second Wednesday of each month at

Fibromyalgia syndrome is a
widespread musculoskeletal pain and fatigue disorder for which the
cause is still unknown. Fibromyalgia means pain in the muscles,
ligaments and tendons -- the soft fibrous tissues in the body. More
women than men are afflicted with the syndrome, and it shows up in people of
all ages.
