[DEC. 16, 2004]  Forty walkers from eight churches and four civic organizations participated in the 35th annual CROP Walk on Oct. 17. The walkers and friends of the CROP effort have turned in their donations for a grand total of $5,075.55.

Sara Rossette from Trinity Episcopal Church was awarded a gift certificate from The Lighthouse for collecting the most donations.

Nancy Gehlbach served as the liaison for mailings to Friends of CROP.

The Logan County CROP treasurer, Rosemary Apel, has forwarded the donations to Church World Service. The money will be used for projects around the globe for refugees and hunger in the world.

Tonita Reifsteck, CROP Walk chair, announced that 25 percent of the donations will be directed to the local Community Action programs of CIEDC.
