The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Extension
unit to sponsor bingo
The Logan County Extension Unit will
sponsor Thursday bingo with nutritious prizes. The games begin at 1
p.m. at The Oasis.
Alzheimer
support group will meet
People who need support or
information on assistance available are invited to join the
Alzheimer support group, which is facilitated by a representative
from Maple Ridge Care Centre. The group will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday
at The Oasis. Reservations are not necessary.
Public
welcome at board meeting
The Oasis board will meet at 5 p.m.
Thursday at the senior center. All meetings are open to the public.
To schedule agenda items, the board must receive notification in
writing on or before the fifth day of the month prior to the
meeting.
Memories
class will meet Friday
The Memories class will meet at 3:45
p.m. Friday in the library at the senior center. Participants should
bring their own pen and paper to learn skills needed to preserve
memories for families and friends. No reservation is necessary.

SHARE
food is coming Friday
Self Help and Resource Exchange food
orders may be picked up between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Friday. January
orders may be placed at the same time. SHARE is a reduced-cost food
cooperative sponsored by the Catholic Diocese of Peoria. It is open
to everyone, regardless of their age or income.
Tuesday
lunch
The 11:30 a.m. lunch on Dec. 21 will
feature Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and butter,
dessert and a soft drink for only $3.75. Ticket purchase deadline is
noon Monday.
Winners
Larry Van Bibber was the weekday
winner for pinochle. The weekend winners were Tom Garrison, Bernie
DePuy and Joann Eckert.
