[DEC. 22, 2004]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

St. Clara's Manor to sponsor bingo

St. Clara's Manor will sponsor the bingo games that begin at 1 p.m. Thursday at The Oasis. Come join the fun!

Tuesday lunch

The 11:30 a.m. lunch on Dec. 28 will feature meatloaf, mashed potatoes, salad, bread and butter, dessert, and a soft drink for only $3.75. Ticket purchase deadline is noon Monday.

Oasis will close for holidays

The Oasis will be closed Dec. 24 for Christmas Eve, Dec. 27 for Christmas Day celebration, Dec. 31 for New Year's Eve and Jan. 3 for New Year's Day celebration. Activities will resume at 9 a.m. Jan. 4. Happy holidays!

Pre-New Year's Eve breakfast bingo

A breakfast bingo event will begin at 9 a.m. Dec. 30 at The Oasis. Celebrate 2004 and welcome 2005 with the Preceptor Eta chapter of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. Noon Dec. 29 is the deadline for purchasing a $3.50 ticket for breakfast and the bingo games. Tickets are available at the senior center.

Winners announced

Bernie Haley and Linda Hughes were the weekday winners for pinochle. The weekend winners were Christine March, Bernie DePuy, Betty Burger and Les Van Bibber.

Bernie DePuy won the monthly lunch drawing for Steak n Shake. Mable Hoagland won the bingo door prize.
