Starbucks comes to Lincoln     Send a link to a friend

[FEB. 10, 2004]  Lincoln Christian College will host the grand opening and chamber of commerce ribbon-cutting ceremony for Starbucks on its campus Feb. 27 at 8:30 a.m. Sodexho Food Service, which provides food service for the college and the seminary, has obtained the Starbucks agreement and will offer Starbucks coffee and an expanded drink menu at the Warehouse located in the center of campus.

 Dan Papuga, director of food services, will manage the service for Sodexho. 

Faculty and staff have been pleasantly pleased with the new addition on campus and welcome the coffeehouse. "This was the first cup of coffee I have ever had, and it was great! I chose a Café Americano," sophomore Joel Eckart said. "It is a great place to hang out with friends and meet people," he added.

The Warehouse is open and brewing Starbucks specialties Sunday evenings from 7:30 to 10:30, Monday through Friday 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Monday through Thursday 8 to 11 p.m. It is open to campus students as well as the general public.

The grand opening Feb. 27 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. will offer free samples of specialty drinks and coffees. The public is welcome.
