Last night the Lincoln College men's basketball team fell to Lewis and Clark for the second time this season. At the half the Lynx were down by 17. They rallied a bit in the second half, bringing the final score to a close 82-79 loss. Lincoln College is 11-13 on the season while Lewis and Clark improves to 16-8.

Rueben Trotter had a double-double, scoring 22 points and taking 13 rebounds. Sophomore Jeff Carlson scored 18 for the Lynx, 12 of which came from 3-point land. Aaron Williams was also in double figures, scoring 11 points for the night.

Leaders for Lewis and Clark were Cory Sims with 31 points, Ross Laux and Mortiz Wholers with 13, and Robert Aitken with 10.

The Lynx play Feb. 16 in Danville against Danville Area Community College.

In the women's game the Lynx improved their season record by taking a commanding win over Lewis and Clark. Leading by 15 points at the half, the Lynx held on to their lead and ended the game with a final score of 84-50. This victory marks the team's ninth win of the season.

Leading the team was freshman Jessica Hamman. She had 25 points on the night and 10 rebounds. Other Lynx in double figures were Erica Ernst with 14 points and Erica Rodgers with 11.

The next game for the Lynx is Saturday, when they take on Lake Land Community College in Mattoon.
