Men

SPRINGFIELD -- Lincoln College collected their 14th win on the road this season by defeating Lincoln Land Community College on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx were down at the half by six points but scored 43 in the second half to secure a 72-66 victory.

This win put the Lynx over the .500 mark for the season, with 14 wins and 13 losses. Lincoln Land drops to 13-15.

Jeff Carlson continued his leadership for the Lynx by scoring 23 points. His teammate Rueben Trotter picked up 19, while Tony Gulley had 12. Jason Moore netted 11 points and took a team-high nine rebounds.

Lincoln Land's leaders were Mike Hardeik and Zach Beaty with 19 each. Cory Farmer scored 11.

MOBERLY, Mo. -- Moberly Community College handed Lincoln a non-conference loss on Sunday afternoon. The Lynx trailed 47-23 at the end of the first half, and Moberly maintained their lead, defeating the Lynx 79-61.

This loss takes the Lynx to 14-14 for the season. Moberly advances to 26-3.

Nick Malone was the lone Lynx in double figures, scoring a team-high 11 points.

Moberly's Keith Hardaway scored 19, while Marty Wise and Maurice Gibbs had 14 each.

Women

SPRINGFIELD -- Lincoln Land Community College defeated the Lynx 65-61 on Saturday afternoon. The Lynx took the lead in the first half, scoring 38 points to Lincoln Land's 32. But Lincoln Land took the reins in the second half, outscoring the Lynx by 10.

This loss makes the Lynx record 9-19 for the season.

Topping the Lynx scoring charts were sophomore Erica Ernst and freshman Jessica Hamman. Ernst had 16 points, while Hamman took 14 points and 10 rebounds for the team.

The Lynx will play their final regular-season away game on Feb. 25, when they travel to Canton to play Spoon River. The Lynx defeated Spoon River earlier this season.
