It will include partnership with the
private sector to increase funding to support an independent
economic development effort comprised of two individuals from the
Lincoln City Council, two members of the Logan County Board, two
members from the Lincoln/Logan County Chamber of Commerce and three
at-large members representing utilities and the private sector.
During the search to fill the
director's position on a permanent basis, the partnership will begin
the task of taking economic development to a higher level involving
commitments from the private sector to assist in the development of
all of Logan County.
Orr's contract begins as Jeff
Mayfield's expires, and Mayfield will be assisting Orr during the
transition period.
