[JAN. 29, 2004]  At an informational meeting Wednesday night at the Lincoln Recreation Center, the public had an opportunity to learn more about the proposed 911 communications room change. A change-over from split city and county operation to a unified command room answering 911 calls will be presented as a referendum for public approval on this spring's election ballot. The Emergency Telephone System Board has scheduled additional meetings in surrounding communities.
