[JULY 14, 2004]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Bingo

Join us Thursday at 1 p.m. for bingo games, nutritious prizes and snacks sponsored by the Extension service.

Alzheimer support group meets

The Alzheimer support group meets Thursday at 1 p.m. Stop by to find out what is needed for support and assistance.

Van trip

A few seats are available for the Aug. 1 trip to the Little Theater on the Square in Sullivan to see "Where's Charlie." The cost is $28 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Lunch is on your own. The purchase deadline is Friday, July 16.

Monthly birthday party

Be at the senior center on Monday, July 19, at 1:30 p.m. to celebrate all July birthdays with games, entertainment, prizes, cake and ice cream.

Tuesday lunch special

Noon Monday, July 19, is the deadline to buy your $3.50 ticket for the Tuesday lunch with barbecued chicken sandwiches, pasta salad, baked beans and dessert.

Legal aid

Call for an appointment for Thursday, July 22, if you need legal assistance. Lincolnland Legal Assistance Foundation will have an attorney on-site.
