[JULY 21, 2004]  The Oasis, Logan County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Bingo

Join us Thursday at 1 p.m. for bingo games, prizes and snacks sponsored by St. Clara's Manor.

Memories class

Meet with the writing class at 3:45 p.m. Friday to learn how to preserve family and county memories. Rebecca Johnson leads the group.

SHARE orders pickup

Remember to pick up your July orders between 4 and 5:30 p.m. Friday and place your order for next month. The reduced-cost food program is sponsored by the Diocese of Peoria and is open to anyone, regardless of age or income.

Tuesday lunch

Pick up your $3.50 ticket by noon Monday, July 26, for a tasty lunch of meatloaf, mashed potatoes, green bean casserole, bread and butter, and dessert.

Wednesday Think Tank

Wednesday, July 28, at 9:15 a.m. Jeff Mayfield will discuss the latest information on Lincoln Christian College. No reservation is necessary.

Breakfast bingo reservations

July 28 at noon is the deadline to buy your $3.50 ticket for the July 29 breakfast and bingo games. Stop by the front desk.

Winners of special prizes

Lorna Kavelman won the monthly lunch drawing sponsoring by Steak 'n' Shake.

At the quarterly card party Lorraine Wendell, Betty Burger, Ann Greger, Rebecca Bailey, Eugenia Merry and Larry Van Bibber were door prize winners. Rummy winners were Joann Eckert, Betty Burger and Ann Greger. Bridge winners were Ilah Horton, Lorraine Wendell and Emma Elliott. Pinochle winners were Dolly Mears, Pauline Aper and Esther Will.

Regular weekly pinochle winners were Henry Warnisher, Mable Hoagland, Jan Van Bibber and Pauline Boward. Winners at 5 in 1 were Bernie DePuy and Louise Wiebers.
