Sharon Dellinger
Sharon Ann Dellinger, 47, of
Lincoln died Saturday (July 24, 2004) at 5:30 p.m. at her home.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7
p.m. Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Wednesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with Pastor Chad Ragsdale
officiating.
Cremation will follow the
service.
Mrs. Dellinger was a homemaker.
She was born Nov. 7, 1956, in
Springfield to William Wood and Barbara Jean Carpenter. She married
Roscoe Dellinger on Nov. 11, 1976, in Lincoln.
She is survived by her husband;
one daughter, Jeanette (and Jeff) Walker of Lincoln; one
granddaughter, Brittany Chapman of Lincoln; three sisters, Pauline
(and Mark) Hougue of Litchfield, Connie (and Bill) Gwinn of Auburn
and Diana (and Mark) Russell of Sherman; a foster brother, Freddie
Near of Pekin; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by
her parents; her foster parents, Duane and Mildred Near; one son,
Allen; and one brother, Carl William Rohrer Jr.
She was a member of Chapter "Z"
Gold Wing Road Riders Association of Peoria.
Memorials may be made to the Foster Care Foundation or the Logan
County Animal Shelter.

Ben Gehlbach
Ben Philip Gehlbach, 67, of Beason and
McCormick, S.C., died July 11, 2004, in Homer, Alaska.
Visitation was on Sunday (July 25) at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln.
His funeral was Monday morning
at Trinity Episcopal Church in Lincoln, with Father James Cravens
officiating.
Burial is in Elkhart Cemetery.
Mr. Gehlbach taught in District 16 at
Olympia High School and farmed at Beason.
He was born March 6, 1937, at Lincoln
to Virgil Keys and Esther Louise Curphey Gehlbach. He married Doris
V. Graham on Dec. 26, 1960, in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife, of Beason;
his mother, of Naples, Fla.; one daughter, Carrie Gehlbach of Plano,
Texas; one sister, Marita Price (and husband Donald) of Beaverton,
Ore.; and his uncle and aunt, John and Jo Gehlbach of Elkhart.
He was preceded in death by his father;
one daughter, Amy Gehlbach; and one sister, Halcyone Therriault.
He was a member of Lutheran Church by
the Lake at McCormick, S.C., Savannah Lakes Promenaders, Thurmond
Lake Power Squadron, Lincoln Elks, National Education Association,
Illinois Education Association and Illinois Farm Bureau.
In lieu of
flowers, memorials may be made to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Heart
Fund or Lutheran Church by the Lake, Highway 378 at Twelve Oaks
Drive, McCormick, SC 29835. |

Johnson
Jewell V. Johnson of Lincoln
died Monday (July 26, 2004) at 4 a.m. at the Christian Village.

Edna Steffens
Edna Steffens, 88, of Lincoln died
Saturday (July 24, 2004) at 4:55 p.m. at the Christian Village.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Tuesday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln, with the
Rev. William Adam officiating. There is no visitation.
Burial will be in Union Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Miss Steffens was a teacher in Logan
County before she retired.
She was born Dec. 26, 1915, in East
Lincoln Township to William and Mildred Werth Steffens.
She was preceded in death by her
parents and two brothers, Merritt and Virgil Steffens. She was the
last of her immediate family.
Miss Steffens was a member of Zion
Lutheran Church in Lincoln.

Virginia
Woodard
Virginia A. Woodard, 83, of Atlanta,
formerly of Lincoln, died Friday (July 23, 2004) at 12:30 p.m. at
her niece's home in Atlanta.
A graveside service was
Monday morning at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield.
There was no visitation.
Arrangements were handled by
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Mrs. Woodard worked at Eldorado Garment
Factory in Decatur for 25 years. She retired in 1982.
She was born Aug. 2, 1920, in Decatur
to August and Anna Schiminski Hendrian. She married Ralph Woodard on
Dec. 4, 1948, in Decatur. He died April 1, 1990.
She is survived by
Glenda Woodard of Decatur, a niece she had raised for 41 years, and
several other nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by two
brothers and four sisters. She was the last of her immediate family.
Aunt Virginia was loved and will be
missed by all her many nieces and nephews.
