Bronco All-Stars sweep doubleheader     Send a link to a friend

[JUNE 7, 2004]  The Bronco League All-Star team was in action over the weekend, sweeping a doubleheader Saturday from Athens, 16-0 and 16-2.

 John White and Tanner Smith combined for a no-hitter in the first game. White struck out nine of 10 batters he faced. Josh Mote, Conner McQuellon, Tanner Cicci and Corbin Leith allowed only one hit in the second game.

Lots of Lincoln players had success at the plate in the doubleheader. Brandon Chrisman had a double, single and five runs scored. Zach Toft was 4-for-5 with a double and triple, five runs scored, and three RBIs. Justin Diedrich was 4-for-4 with three doubles, five runs scored and eight RBIs. Tanner Cicci had three hits and six RBIs. 

The All-Stars will be back in action this week with doubleheaders at home versus Olympia on Thursday and away doubleheaders at Petersburg on Saturday and Quincy on Sunday.
