[JUNE 16, 2004]  The Logan County Unit of the American Cancer Society is having its seventh annual Relay For Life at Scully Park, across from Union Planters Bank in downtown Lincoln. Relay For Life kicks off Saturday, June 19, at 6 p.m. and ends at 6 a.m. Sunday.

All cancer survivors are invited to participate in the cancer survivor lap, which will be at 6 on Saturday evening. Survivors need to register by 5:45 p.m. First-year survivors will receive a medallion. Survivors who already have a medallion are asked to please bring it when you come to register. All participating survivors will receive a 2004 pin.

A drawing will be held after the survivor walk for a chance to win two round-trip airline tickets to anywhere in the United States for a survivor and guest. The tickets are donated by Air Tran Airlines at Bloomington Regional Airport.

During the Relay For Life, there will be a silent auction. Items to be auctioned may be viewed at Union Planters Bank and State Bank until Friday evening.

The event will include entertainment and games. Food will be available.
