WSEC-TV to rebroadcast 'Illinois Stories' featuring Springfield's 233rd MP Co.

[JUNE 29, 2004]  Members of the recently returned 233rd MP Company shared their experiences for a two-part program that will air as part of WSEC's "Illinois Stories" series over the Independence Day weekend.

Host and producer Mark McDonald talked with six soldiers: Lt. Joel Ferris of Mount Olive; 1st Sgt. Robert Elmore, Winchester; Sgt. John Hayes, Springfield; Sgt. James Kollins, Waverly; Spc. Stephanie Stretch, Springfield; and Spc. Paul Elmore, Winchester.

Topics discussed in the two 30-minute programs included daily life, mission objectives and other related topics.

The program will air the following days and times:

Thursday, July 1

  • Part 1, 7 p.m.

Friday, July 2

  • Part 1, 10 p.m.

  • Part 2, 10:30 p.m.

Sunday, July 4

  • Part 1, 11 a.m.

  • Part 2, 11:30 a.m.

  • Part 1, 4 p.m.

  • Part 2, 4:30 p.m.

"Illinois Stories," produced by PBS station WSEC-TV in Springfield, is a weekly, 30-minute program that features the people, places, issues and events of Springfield, Quincy, Macomb and points in between.
