The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Join us Thursday at 1 p.m. for games,
prizes and snacks sponsored by Maple Ridge Care Centre.
Holiday
closing
The senior center will be closed July 5
for the celebration of Independence Day. Regular activities will
resume on Tuesday.
Tuesday
lunch
The July 6 entree is chicken and
dumplings with green beans, bread and butter, and dessert. Pick up
your ticket for only $3.50 by noon Friday (July 2).
Brown bag
Rx screening
Call 732-6132 for an appointment for
July 6, between 1 and 3:30 p.m., to have a pharmacist check your
prescription, over-the-counter and herbal supplements for drug
interactions. This is a free service.
Hearing
screening
Call 732-6132 for an appointment for
July 7, between 10 a.m. and noon, to have your hearing checked
without charge.

Summer
card party
Pick up your ticket for the party
scheduled for 1 p.m. July 10. There will be pinochle, bridge and
rummy games, along with dessert and prizes. The donation is only $5.
Tickets must be purchased in advance.
Winners
Bernie Haley and Linda Hughes were the
weekday pinochle winners. Doris Steffen and Eleanor Barton won
pinochle honors on the weekend.
