Guidry, Arnold receive all-conference honors

[MARCH 4, 2004]  ST. LOUIS -- Illinois State's Trey Guidry and Marcus Arnold were each named to the 2004 All-Missouri Valley Conference Team Tuesday as honorable mention selections.

Guidry finished the regular season averaging 14.7 points per game, which ranks fifth in the conference. The junior guard also leads the league in 3-point field goals per game at 2.96 and ranks second in 3-point percentage (.455).

Arnold ranks second on the Redbird roster with 12.8 points per game and leads the squad with 4.6 rebounds per contest.

The tandem of Guidry and Arnold has accounted for 43.8 percent of Illinois State's scoring this season, with each having 20 or more games scoring in double figures.

The all-conference selections were voted on by the league's head coaches, sports information directors, beat writers and play-by-play announcers.
