The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

Potluck
and bingo on Thursday
Join us Thursday at 11:30 a.m. for the
monthly potluck luncheon. Bring a dish to pass or a $3 donation. The
featured entree is corned beef.
Stay to play Oasis-sponsored bingo at 1
p.m. There will be prizes and a lot of fun.
Special
van trip to Nashville North
Only three tickets are left for the
April 3 trip to see Ray Stevens, and the purchase deadline is noon
on Friday (March 12). The cost is $42 for members and $44 for
nonmembers, which covers transportation and show ticket. Stop at the
front desk to make your reservation.
March
birthday party
Join us Monday at 1:30 p.m. for the
monthly birthday celebration with entertainment, games and prizes,
and dessert.
Tuesday
lunch
Pick up your ticket by noon Monday for
the Tuesday meal of Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, gravy, corn, bread
and butter, and dessert. Lunch is $3.50, but if you stay and play
cards or table games, the meal cost is reduced to $3.

Pinochle
at Taylorville
Make your reservation to bring the
pinochle trophy back to Lincoln from the Taylorville senior center
on March 17. A $7 payment covers transportation, lunch and cards. If
you want to drive yourself, $3 covers lunch and cards. For cards
only, the cost is $1. Reservations are needed by Monday, March 15.
Join the
winners
Weekday pinochle winners were Tom
Garrison and Christine March. Weekend pinochle winners were Helen
Opperman and Helen Card. Joann Eckert and Betty Burger won 5 in 1.
