Cisco
Margene Dean Cisco, 61, of Lincoln died
Wednesday (March 10, 2004) at 12:36 p.m. at Memorial Medical Center
in Springfield.
Her funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday
at Lincoln Christian Church, with Tom Gerdts officiating. Visitation
will be at the church one hour before the service.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home of
Lincoln is handling arrangements.
Mrs. Cisco was a nurse's aide.
She was born June 25, 1942, in
Springfield to Thomas and Edna Mae Robinson Cook. She married Bobby
Cisco on July 3, 1961, in Springfield.
She is survived by her husband,
of Lincoln; four daughters, Christina (and Randall) Dirks of
Lincoln, Julie Rusk of Marietta, Ga., Denise (and Greg) Shook of
Lincoln and Daphine (and J.R.) Smith of Bath; four sons, Robert (and
Marsha) Cisco of Lincoln, Wesley Cisco of Lincoln, Keith Cisco of
Lincoln and Kevin Cisco of Owensboro, Ky.; 13 grandchildren; four
great-grandchildren; three sisters, Mary (and Bernard) Delany of Des
Plaines, Dorothy (and Carl) Huffman of Sorrento and Evelyn Cook of
Springfield; and three brothers, Earl Cook of Edenburg, William Cook
of Springfield and Harold (and Linda) Cook of Thayer.
She was also preceded in death
by one sister and seven brothers.
She was a member of Lincoln
Christian Church, to which memorials may be made.

Dolly Horchem
Dolly Horchem, 72, of Lincoln, formerly
of Broadwell, died Monday (March 8, 2004) at 3:05 a.m. at Memorial
Medical Center in Springfield.
Her funeral was Friday morning
at the First Baptist Church of Lincoln, with the Rev. Robert
Henderson officiating. Visitation preceded the
service.
Burial is in Zion Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Mrs. Horchem was a homemaker.
She was born May 26, 1931, at
Tompkinsville, Ky., to Benjamin and Mae Stewart Grimsley. She was
first married to Robert Leckrone. Later she married Ronald Dean
Horchem on Nov. 16, 1957, at Broadwell. He died April 29, 1990.
She is survived by two daughters, Rita
Leckrone (and Thomas) Kinney of Petaluma, Calif., and Rhonda Horchem
Bowers of Augusta, Ga.; one son, Ronald Horchem of Taylorville; four
grandsons, Ryan and Jeffrey Bowers of Augusta, Ga., Thomas
Bertolette of Fort Collins, Colo., and Jesse Kinney of Petaluma,
Calif.; one great-granddaughter, Cortnee Bertolette of Fort Collins,
Colo.; and a sister-in-law, Alice Grimsley of Lincoln.
She was also preceded in death by four
brothers, Jack, Stanley, Paul and Robert Grimsley, and two sisters,
Nel Grimsley Rogers and Dezzie Grimsley Klien.
She was a member of the First Baptist
Church of Lincoln, a 20-year member of the Woman of the Moose and a
member of the American Red Cross.

Julia Washburn
Julia Tonellato Washburn, 87, of
Springfield, formerly of Lincoln, died Tuesday (March 9, 2004) at
10:20 p.m. at Passavant Hospital in Jacksonville.
A memorial Mass was at 9 a.m. Friday at Holy Family Catholic
Church in Lincoln, with Father Thomas Taylor officiating. A
half-hour for visitation preceded the service.
Visitation at Peasley Funeral Home in
Lincoln began at 10:30 a.m., and a service there was scheduled for
12:15 p.m. Friday.
Burial will be at 2 p.m. in Camp Butler
National Cemetery, Springfield.
Mrs. Washburn retired from Campbell
Soup in Chicago in 1980 after 22 years with the company. She had
been a quality assurance inspector.
She was born Oct. 9, 1916, in
Springfield to Angelus and Bertha Porphuir Tonellato. She married
Edgar "Kemo" Washburn on Sept. 1, 1951, in Clinton. He died April
30, 1993.
She is survived by one stepson, Randall
Washburn of Roy, Utah, and by several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by three
brothers and two sisters.
She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary
in Burbank.

Justin 'Bosco' Wahlsmith
Justin E. "Bosco" Wahlsmith,
19, of Middletown died Sunday (March 7, 2004), at 9:08 p.m. at
Halifax Medical Center in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7
p.m. Monday, March 15, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in
Lincoln.
His funeral will be at 10 a.m.
Tuesday, March 16, at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with the Rev. David
Pepperell officiating.
Burial will be in Pleasant
Valley Cemetery, Middletown.
Mr. Wahlsmith was a bricklayer.
He was born Aug. 30, 1984, in
Bloomington.
He survived by his parents,
Joseph Walker and Angela Wahlsmith of Middletown; two brothers,
Joseph Walker of Tavares, Fla., and Allen Wahlsmith of Middletown;
his maternal grandparents, Earl and Deany Baker of Middletown; his
paternal grandmother, Kathryn McGrath of Bloomington; and maternal
great-grandparents Mabel and Bill Quast of Middletown.
He was preceded in death by one
sister, Chastity; one brother, Joshua Walker; and his paternal
grandfather, Melvin Walker.
He loved fishing, camping and
the outdoors.

Donald Bishop
Donald Boyd Bishop, 51, of Lincoln died
Saturday (March 6, 2004) at 12:50 p.m. at the Crossroads Motel.
A graveside service with military rites
was on Friday morning at Camp Butler National Cemetery,
Springfield.
Mr. Bishop served in the U.S. Army from
1971 to 1974.
He was born Oct. 19, 1951, at Erin,
Tenn., to James Woodrow and Georgia Maxine Bishop. He married
Kathleen Ann Kurtz on Nov. 25, 1978, at Mount Pulaski.
He is
survived by his mother; two sons, Shawn Lee Baker and Nicholas James
Baker; two brothers, Guy Gordon Bishop and James Earl King; and four
sisters, Linda Kay (and Kevin) Walk, Janet Lee (and Don) McMaster,
Sherry Ann Turner and Penny Sue Tripplett.
