[MARCH 13, 2004]  A set of children's books has been given to the Lincoln Public Library by Logan County Habitat For Humanity.

Bill Sahs, who initiated the forming of a Habitat chapter in Logan County, and Phil Dehner, 2004-05 president of the local affiliate, presented the books to librarian Richard Sumrall.

Written by Ronald Kidd, a children's author, and beautifully illustrated, these books not only tell an interesting story but also teach children how to make a better world.

The set includes "Building Friends," in which two friends develop a strong relationship by working together; "Doorway to the World," a fascinating, fun look at cultures around the world; "Grandpa's Hammer," in which a young girl renews a grandfather's sense of purpose; and "Raising the Roof," in which David learns about sharing as he builds a special project.
