[MARCH 24, 2004]  The Logan County Genealogical and Historical Society is seeking articles from teachers who formerly taught in one-room schools in the Logan County area and from students who attended those one-room schools. Related pictures, such as photos of classes and school buildings, are also being accepted.

If you submit pictures, please mark them clearly with your name and address. Pictures will be available for pickup at the society's research center, 114 N. Chicago St., in Lincoln, after publication of the book.

Information is still needed on the following one-room schools: Farmland, Latham, Deavers, Walnut Grove, Ring, Fair Haven, Pop Corn, Regan, Mount Airy, Bowles, Harmony, North Bethel, Mount Zion - Oran Township, Walnut Hill, Tuttle, Hunter, Copeland, Hamilton, Scroggin, Buchanan, Sugar Grove, Industry, Buckeye, Cornland, Plainview, Sunnyside, Honey Rock, Rankin and Constant.

If you didn't attend any of the listed schools but may know some interesting history about one or more of them, please share that with us. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Pre-publication orders for the book are being taken now through June 1. Forms may be picked up at the research center.
