The Oasis, Logan
County's senior citizen center, 501 Pulaski St. in Lincoln, is open
weekdays (except holidays) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is also
open on Friday and Sunday nights for table games. Dominic Dalpoas is
the executive director. Activities are open to all Logan County
senior citizens, regardless of membership.

glaucoma screening appointment on Friday between 9 a.m. and noon.

challenge in Springfield
Sign up by Monday to play pinochle with
the Springfield senior center players and bring the trophy back to
Lincoln. A payment of $7 fee covers transportation, lunch and cards.
If you have your own transportation, the cost is $3 for lunch and

of the March lunch drawing, sponsored by Guzzardo's. Esther Will and
Helen Opperman were the lucky pinochle winners last weekend, and
Mable Hoagland was the weekday winner.
The Taylorville senior center retained
the pinochle trophy when challenged by Oasis players.
