Local 4-H'ers attend 4-H Legislative Connection

[MAY 10, 2004]  Several Logan County 4-H members attended the annual 4-H Legislative Connection at the Illinois Capitol on April 27.

Those in attendance were able to display their superior award-winning 4-H projects at the state Capitol, participated in educational workshops, toured historic points of interest, took part in photo sessions, participated in a "Salute to 4-H" rally in the capitol rotunda and met with Rep. Bill Mitchell. Several 4-H'ers attended the Illinois 4-H Club Presidents Invitational Conference, where they learned ways to enhance their leadership and group process skills.

Logan County 4-H members who attended were Nichole Benz, Kristin Bishop, David Carter, Emily Hauter, Zack Huffer, Rachel Tibbs and Esther Tomlinson. Also in attendance was John Sutton, who serves on the State Extension Advisory Committee as a representative from Logan County.
