Doris Henry
Doris E. Henry, 86, of Lincoln died
Thursday (May 20, 2004) at 9:10 p.m. at her daughter's home in
Lincoln.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m.
Sunday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader Funeral Home in Lincoln.
Her funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.
Monday at Fricke-Calvert-Schrader, with the Rev. Mark Carnahan
officiating.
Burial will be in New Union Cemetery,
Lincoln.
Mrs. Henry had worked as a waitress at
various restaurants in Bloomington, assistant dietary manager at
Queen of Angels Hospital in Los Angeles, Calif.; assistant cafeteria
manager at the College of Art and Design in Pasadena, Calif.; and as
bookkeeper at Decker's Family Shoes in Lincoln.
She was born Nov. 13,
1917, in Newark, N.J., to Walter A. and Margaret Freida Kraft
Hutchison. She married Howard Marshall on Aug. 25, 1935, in Kearny,
N.J. He died in 1962. She married Franklyn F. Henry on Oct. 23,
1964, in Las Vegas, Nev. He died Oct. 25, 1985.
She is survived by
one daughter, Doris "Dori" (and James) Decker of Lincoln; one son,
Howard S. (and Margery) Marshall of Phoenix, Ariz.; five
grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and two brothers, Robert E.
Hutchison of Silver Spring, Md., and Walter A. Hutchison III of
Webster, N.Y.
She was also preceded
in death by one daughter, Marilyn Grace Marshall.
She was a member of
The Oasis senior citizen center and the Rebekah Lodge of Lincoln.
Memorials
may be made to St. Jude Midwest Affiliate in Peoria, Logan County
Paramedic Association or Abraham Lincoln Memorial Hospital
Foundation.
