[MAY 25, 2004]  SPRINGFIELD -- Illinois Department on Aging Director Charles Johnson has announced this year's Unique Achievement Award winners, who will be honored at a ceremony on Wednesday at the executive mansion in Springfield.

Honorees were selected by leaders of the 13 Area Agencies on Aging, who chose a person who exemplifies a "unique achiever" in their area. The area agencies represent 13 sections of the state, and the Department on Aging channels funds for services through those agencies.
